This tour is an
essential introduction to the
"Segway Smile".
A guided tour
around the grounds of Graythwaite Estate overlooking a
section of Graythwaite Hall Gardens - essentially a Spring
garden settled in a wooded valley of twelve acres.
On arrival you
will be familiarised with the intuitive technology that is the
heart of each and every Segway PT.
When you are
thoroughly satisfied with your ability to
"glide with a Segway
Smile"
you will have personal use of a Segway x2 to embark
on a scenic "glide" through the beautiful grounds that are the
immediate surroundings of Graythwaite Hall
After around
15-20 minutes training
the tour itself will last about 40 - 45 minutes.

For people who
have already enjoyed the "Graythwaite Tour". This extended tour
of Graythwaite Estate also takes in woodland tracks and trails.
It encompasses
the western shores of Windermere itself and the experienced "Segger"
in you can explore the capabilities of these exceptional
machines while taking in the glorious sights and sounds of less
frequented areas of the Lake District.
The Adventure
Tour lets you embark on a glide that initially covers the
Graythwaite Tour route but then extends to more demanding
terrain that will leave you exhilarated with the scenery as well
as the Segway PT.
The tour itself
lasts up to 90 minutes (dictated by the group's pace and the
number of photo-stops!)

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE NOTE:
Tour bookings are time
specific.
If you arrive too late to join your tour you may not be able to
participate
and all payments may be forfeited.
Remember to dress appropriately for
the weather conditions on the day.
Secure footwear should be worn (trainers, light walking boots,
etc. but not sandals, flip-flops or similar).
All riders are required to wear helmets
provided or their own cycle helmets if preferred.
Riders must be at least 14 years old and weigh 45kg (7 stones /
100lbs). Weight limit is 110kg
(17½ stones / 245 lbs).
A parent or legal guardian must sign a consent form for riders
14 to 16 years old and accompany them on the tour.
Riders must be comfortable standing for
between 60 or 90 or more minutes dependent on tour selected.
They should be able to shift their weight & be comfortable
leaning slightly from side to side
and be capable of stepping on and off the Segway PT when
required.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Should
you need to
cancel a confirmed tour booking the following policy applies:
- More than 7 days notice
- Option to reschedule tour date or request refund of
deposit/total paid.
- Less than 7 days but more than 48 hours
notice - Option to reschedule tour date only.
No refund unless tour places are resold.
- Less than 48 hours notice – No option to
reschedule or refund unless tour places are re-sold.
